In April 1985, over 114
Hawaiian entertainers calling themselves "Hawaii for Africa" produced a song
titled "The Way of Love"
On the heals of the mainland's USA for Africa,
70 of Hawaii's finest entertainers and most of the top performers in Hawaii
came together to record a record designed to
support of the starving in
Africa
and aid the needy children in Hawaii.
The 2 track 12 in.. single featured a who's who of Hawaiian music
artists including Mackey Feary, Nohelani Cypriano, Danny Couch,
Loyal Garner and many
more!
In addition to the 12 in. Single, and original 45 rpm, a 14 Minute - VHS -
Color video - with Various Artists was produced.

Vocalists included : Robert & Roland Cazimero, Henry Kapono who
wrote the song, Danny Couch, the late Mackey Feary, the late Loyal Garner, Karen
Keawehawaii, Melveen Leed, Nohelani Cypriano, Jay Larrin, Kapono Beamer, Martin
Pahinui, Danny Kaleikini, Melinda Caroll, Jerry Santos, Haunani Apoliona, Na Leo
Pilimehana, Palani Vaughan, Irmgard Aluli & Puamana, Malani Bilyeu, Frank Hewett,
Brother Noland, Brickwood Galuteria & others.
Speaking Parts: Henry Kapono, Robert Cazimero, Loyal Garner, Kapono Beamer &
others.
The
music was written by Henry Kapono, with help from Jay Larrin, Mackey Feary,
Brother Nolan, David Tallisman and Andy Preston who had the original idea. Mr.
Alan Yamamoto (now producer for the Hoku Awards) was the producer.
