"UNOFFICIAL" CASSETTE TAPES

Immediately after the Live Aid concert, multiple "unofficial" cassette sets began appearing in local record shops and flea markets. Over the last 20 years I have seen and hear numerous bootleg recordings. They can be found under the names of: Billboard, Golden Lion Record, Team, Aquarius, and Gatotkaca.
The majority of the sets seemed to have been created in India. Oddly enough, the actual sound quality from set to set varies. The artwork and packaging are superior and some sets included mini box sets and holders, stickers and photographs.

Bootleg Tapes - Billboard.
The "Billboard" cassette set displayed below is typical for the type of sets found in India.
Note:  Rp.2000,- on the front indicates 2000 Indian Rupees. Equivalent to about $46 US Dollars.
The sound is taken from the normal BBC feed. The sound on this set is sometimes mono and sometimes stereo. The editing is average.

Special Note: Each bootleg set that I ran across had different songs and the artists placed in different running order.
The source for this recording is not the same as the Golden Lion Record set.
