This section outlines only the "official" LP's produced as a result of the Live Aid event.

Very few "official" items were recorded or released on LP as a result of the the Live Aid concerts. The concerts were re-broadcast on radio on the 1st anniversary, 5th Anniversary, and 10th anniversary, but to date no documentation or proof has been found as to how the radio stations played those songs. Usually, live concerts are recorded, and record LP's or CD's are sent to radio stations with cue sheets. Strict instructions are included with such records and they are to be destroyed after the scheduled airtime.

These records sometimes often end up in record shops or for sale on the Internet. Numerous radio stations were contacted in the process and no answers were provided in regards to the radio airplay. It is possible that the radio stations were sent tapes of the Live Aid event for radio airplay.
